IST wins another creative writing award.

An IST student has won first place in a national creative writing competition. Ashley (J3-5 Fr) took first place in the G3 - 6 category of the 2010 "Young Voices of America Speak Their Muse" poetry competition sponsored by the Young Voices Foundation. By age, Ashley would be in G2 in Tucson public schools making her win against nationwide sixth graders more remarkable.

Congratulations to Ashley and her English teacher Mrs Amy McDonald.

This is IST's second major creative writing award this year. Nicholaus (J2 Sp) won first prize in the 2010 Tucson Festival of Books "Young Authors' Competition". Contact us for more information.
