Invitational Chess Tournament
Friday 1 July
Location: International School of Tucson
Description: USCF Rated three-round tournament. Two sections (if numbers allow) : U450 and U900
Schedule: Check-in 12:00-12:30. Games start at 12:30 pm.
Round times are 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 Awards will follow.
Time Control: Game in 30 minutes (per player). Bring chess clocks
Rules: Touch move/take will be enforced. Notation will be optional but encouraged for players comfortable. USCF rules will be enforced.
Prizes: 1st 2nd and 3rd place prizes in each Section. (Prizewinners will receive trophies / medals)
Entry Fee: $10 if paid / postmarked by Wednesday 29 June 2011; $15 if paid / postmarked after Wednesday 29 June. Free to participants enrolled in that week’s IST Summer Chess camp.
To Register: Registration is required. Payment must be made by cheque payable to "International School of Tucson" - registration is not complete until payment is received.

The National Building Museum is located at 401 F Street NW, between 4th and 5th Streets, across the street from the Judiciary Square Metro (Red Line).
This is indoor and air-conditioned, important during Washington's summer heat and humidity.
Exhibits and Tours: Lego Architecture: Towering Ambition (all ages); The Building Zone (recommended for ages 6 and under); Amazing Arches: Build a Life-Sized Arch in the Great Hall (all ages); Bridging the Gap - interactive demonstration where participants learn about five basic bridge types before solving a transportation problem by choosing a type of bridge to build (recommended for ages 5 and up).
