Our Parents' Association

The International School of Tucson’s Parents’ Association (“ISTPA”) was formed to serve the mission of the school through a partnership with the parents, children, teachers and leadership of the International School of Tucson.  The ISTPA provides leadership and direction to parents wishing to become involved with their school community and acts as a liason between parents and the school leadership. All parents are members of the ISTPA.

The ISTPA’s mission is:

  • To foster relationships among parents, the school’s administration, faculty, staff, and the community
    • The ISTPA provides an annual parent directory and the annual Yearbook / memory disc
  • To provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among parents
    • The ISTPA meets monthly during the academic year and any parent may place items on the agenda for discussion
  • To organise programmes and activities for the IST community
    • Events include : Welcome Back Luau, Halloween Parade, Rummage Sale, Parade of Lights, Winter Concert, International Day, Prize-Giving, Graduation, Exhibition Potlucks, Uniform exchanges, teacher appreciation lunches, ice cream socials
  • To represent the views of the parents to the school
  • To encourage and promote active involvement by parents in their children’s school community.
    • ISTPA funds have provided the 715 gate, classroom flooring in 715, the 1730 gate
