Play Groups

Research shows that the best time to expose your child to the sounds of other languages is from birth to about age three; and the best time for language acquisition is from birth to around age seven. Research also shows that knowing another language makes your child’s brain bigger.

Painted faceIST’s play groups are a language exposure programme for children 6– to 36-month-old, together with their parent or care-giver. Our play groups also are a great way to introduce you and your child to IST. As numbers allow, groups are split into ages 6–18 months (pre-verbal); 12–24 months (emerging verbal) and 18–36 months (verbal). Each  play group is limited to 12 parent/child pairings to ensure maximum participation from each child. Warning: parents are also expected to sing, clap hands and have fun!
