IST Uniforms

IST believes that :

  • Uniforms establish a tradition, and create school spirit and senses of identity and of belonging
  • Uniforms are a form of identification and a symbol of IST, and can improve security by making students easily identifiable
  • Uniforms help remove distractions and competition associated with fashion or group- oriented clothing
  • Uniforms reduce pressures associated with dressing so as to fit in with one’s peers, and avoid conflicts that might arise from this
  • Uniforms eliminate competitive dressing and reduce visible differences that might come from students’ social, economic, cultural or ethnic backgrounds
  • Uniforms increase awareness of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Uniforms are easy to monitor, reducing conflicts over what is acceptable or unacceptable clothing
  • Uniforms are economical

Parents are encouraged to have several sets - and one "Number One" for photographs, meeting the Mayor and so on.

Please put your child’s name on all items.

Purchasing Uniforms

Uniform items are available at Garment Graphics, a Tucson-owned and operated business located at 220 West Fort Lowell. (open Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.00am - 6.00pm; Saturdays 10.00am - 2.00pm) Most uniform items are in stock, although some popular sizes may take 3 – 5 days to produce.
