Calendar

The International School of Tucson (IST) operates an August – May school year, divided into two semesters with a four-week Winter Break, an eight-week Summer Break and a one-week break (Autumn Break and Spring Break) approximately in the middle of each semester following the end of the second and fifth teaching units respectively. The Academic Calendars below show the dates of each semester and the four Breaks.

Although we do not close the School, IST recognises a number of different holidays, festivals and national celebrations throughout the year as an important element of our co-curricular programme. These events are not mandatory and are held outside the teaching day to allow parents and friends to attend; some occur in the evening. However be warned - food is inevitably an important element of each event. Check the Newsletter for details of these and other events.
