Junior School Parent Handbook

2010 / 2011

Welcome to the International School of Tucson (IST) and to our community. If there is anything we can do to help you feel more of a member of our school, please let us know.

This Handbook applies to IST’s Junior School (J1 – J5) and is intended to meet the Arizona Department of Health Services requirements for a “statement of service”. Please keep and refer to it frequently, and please note that by enrolling your child(ren) you are agreeing to and accepting its contents; if you have any questions or concerns about any aspect of the School, please do not hesitate to contact us. We have published a separate Pre-School Handbook.

This is IST’s sixth year, and we see another jump in our Junior School numbers. We intend to move further along in implementing our Programme of Inquiry and you will receive more information on this throughout the year.

The principal focus of IST’s Junior School programme is on “Opening the World to Your Child” through the three stems of our Mission.  We have a great school here at IST and a great community, and together we can make this another exceptional year. Welcome.
